Plus an Analog Distribution Amplifier for Black Burst, Tri-Level Sync, LTC and more
If you work in live production and you don’t have much rack space, but you do need to use a lot of ColorBoxes, you’ll be excited to hear about the latest innovation from AJA.
You can fit 10 of the new openGear ColorBox advanced inline color transformers in 2 rack units, so it’s convenient for a truck or compact production space.
With the new OG-ColorBox, you can affect the color profile of your image in a whole host of different ways, and do so extremely quickly thanks to ultra-low latency.
Abe Abt from AJA spoke with Matt Robbins from KITPLUS at IBC2024 about AJA’s 2 new openGear cards.
Both of the new cards are openGear versions of cards AJA already makes, because “That’s how much our customers love openGear,” Abe said. They tell us, “‘We love this product. Can you put it in openGear?’ So we do that. We like listening to our customers.”
On the OG-ColorBox, because it’s openGear, you also get broadcast features you want like dual redundant power supplies and centralized control in the openGear DashBoard. All in all, it’s super convenient and super familiar.
The second card is the OG-C10DA, a 1×9 analog distribution amplifier, which is used quite a lot now for reference signals – Black Burst, tri-level sync, and LTC. You could put 10 of these in 2 rack units, and then you’d have 10 1×9. That’s a lot of synchronization being routed around your facility.

As Abe said, “There’s a huge amount of information on the openGear website,” so discover new products and info from all of the Leader Partners by going to openGear.tv, and while you’re there, get your copy of the 2024 Ultimate openGear Applications Guide.
